Pemanfaatan Lahan Tidur Jadi Pembahasan Pangdam V Brawijaya

JELAJAHNEWS.ID – Pangdam V/Brawijaya Mayjen Farid Makruf dengan Wakil Menteri Pertanian, Harvick Hasnul Qolbi membahas beberapa hal, di Surabaya, Jawa Timur (26/07/2023).

Adapun pembahasan itu, terkait adanya pemanfaatan lahan tidur hingga pengembangan ternak sapi dengan inseminasi dan budidaya jagung silase.

Dijelaskan Pangdam, di Jawa Timur terdapat banyak lahan tidur yang nantinya akan dimanfaatkan sebagai dongkrak ketahanan pangan. Program itu, merupakan salah satu program unggulan TNI-AD.

“Kita juga akan terus mengembangkan budidaya jagung silase untuk pakan ternak,” kata Pangdam.

Upaya peningkatan sektor ketahanan pangan itu, kata Pangdam, nantinya akan melibatkan seluruh jajaran yang ada di wilayah teritorial Kodam V/Brawijaya, khususnya Babinsa. “Tentu saja Babinsa ujung tombaknya,” tegas Mayjen Farid Makruf.

Sekedar informasi, saat ini pihak Kementerian Pertanian telah membuka perhelatan Internasioal Indo Livestock Expo di Grand City. Perhelatan itu, meliputi adanya perhetalan industri peternakan, pertanian, pakan ternak, pengolahan susu, kesehatan hewan, peralatan kesehaan hewan, perikanan dan kuakultur ke-16.

Indo Livestock itu nantinya akan berlangsung mulai tanggal 26-28 Juli 2023 mendatang. Pelaksanaannya pun, melibatkan berbagai pihak.(**/jn)
