JELAJAHNEWS.ID – Ketua Umum Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri secara resmi mengumumkan bahwa calon wakil presiden (cawapres) pendamping Ganjar Pranowo adalah Mahfud MD.

Diketahui, Mahfud MD saat ini menjabat Menkopolhukam.

“Saya dengan mantap telah mengambil keputusan. Dengan mengucapkan bismillaharrahmanirohim, maka calon wakil Presiden yang dipilih oleh Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, yang akan mendampingi Bapak Ganjar Pranowo adalah Bapak Profesor Doktor Mahfud MD,” kata Megawati, di Kantor DPP PDIP di Kantor DPP PDIP, Jakarta Pusat pada Rabu (18/10/2023) pagi.

Megawati mengakui telah menerima masukan dari semua pimpinan partai maupun tokoh.

“Saya menerima masukan dari seluruh ketum partai dan semua tokoh. Semuanya saya kontemplasikan siapa yang tepat mendampingi Ganjar Pranowo,” katanya.

Ia juga mengingatkan agar kedepannya, sosok pemimpin Indonesia jangan melupakan sejarah.

“Dalam seluruh perenungan saya, sosok pemimpin Indonesia tidak boleh membutakan diri atas sejarah dan melupakan reformasi,” ujar Megawati.

Megawati juga berharap agar pemimpin Indonesia profesional dan sensitif terhadap penderitaan yang dialami rakyatnya.

“Dari sejarah, pemimpin harus lahir dari gemblengan lahir batin. Ditempa keteguhannya dan memiliki kemampuan profesional. Serta memiliki pengalaman konkrit dan hatinya tersentuh oleh penderitaan rakyat,” pungkasnya. (jn/**)
