Kunker di Medan, Panglima TNI Kampanye Bebas Sampah

JELAJAHNEWS.ID – Panglima Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) Yudo Margono kunjungan kerja (Kunker) di Kota Medan. Kali ini Yudo Margono menghadiri kegiatan ‘The Rising Tide’ di Lapangan Benteng, Medan.

Kegiatan The Rising Tide merupakan gerakan kampanye setop wariskan sampah. Gerakan ini mengampanyekan menjaga lingkungan dari sampah, melalui perjalanan Sabang – Jakarta, sejauh 3.141 kilometer (km).

Perjalanan dilakukan oleh enam personel TNI. Medan merupakan titik kedua setelah Sabang. Setelah Medan, rombongan tersebut akan bergerak ke Kota Padang hingga nanti berkakhir di Jakarta.

Pj Gubernur Sumut Hassanudin mengapresiasi kegiatan menjaga lingkungan. Diharapkan kegiatan tersebut dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga lingkungan. “Permasalahan lingkungan ini masalah bersama, mari bergerak bersama mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan, khususnya sampah ini,” kata Hassanudin, usai pelepasan peserta Rising Tide di Lapangan Benteng, Jalan Pengadilan, Medan, Sabtu (9/9/2023).

Hassanudin pun mengatakan, Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Sumut akan terus bersinergi dengan seluruh pihak untuk mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan seperti sampah. Menurutnya mengatasi permasalahan sampah mesti dilakukan bersama dan berkesinambungan tanpa terkecuali.

“Kami (Pemprov) senantiasa mengajak seluruh pihak untuk bersama sama mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan, terutama sampah,” kata Hassanudin.

Sebelumnya, peserta Rising Tide dilepas secara resmi oleh Panglima TNI Yudo Margono. Panglima TNI antara lain mengatakan, perjalanan yang ditempuh sekitar 3.141 km dan peserta ditargetkan akan tiba di Jakarta pada Hari Ulang Tahun TNI, 5 Oktober 2023.

Perjalanan tersebut bertujuan untuk mengajak masyarakat menjaga lingkungan. Sampah merupakan salah satu permasalahan lingkungan yang kerap masih terjadi.

“Perjalanan ini mengajak masyarakat menjaga lingkungan khususnya dari sampah, intinya program menjaga lingkungan, sampah yang menjadi permasalahan kita semua, kami bersama TNI dan jajaran bersama sama membantu pemerintah dari sampah,” kata Yudo.

Selain melepas rombongan peserta Rising Tide, Panglima TNI Yudo Margono bersama Pj Gubernur Hassanudin juga mengikuti senam bersama ribuan pelajar se-Kota Medan. Panglima TNI juga sempat melakukan dialog dengan para pelajar tersebut.
