JELAJAHNEWS.ID – Puncak Acara Beasiswa SEMESTA Tahun 2023 telah dihelat pada Bulan Juli ini.. Beasiswa SEMESTA, singkatan dari “Sevima Mencari Siswa Bertalenta”, memberikan kesempatan kuliah gratis di bidang IT bagi 25 anak se-Indonesia dengan total hadiah hingga 1 miliar rupiah.

CEO SEVIMA, Sugianto Halim mengatakan program Beasiswa SEMESTA merupakan salah satu program unggulan Education Technology SEVIMA, yang secara konsisten diselenggarakan setiap tahun. Tahun ini merupakan kali kelima (batch 5) Beasiswa SEMESTA telah diadakan.

“Misi kami adalah konsisten mendukung pemerataan pendidikan dengan memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa-siswi SMA dan SMK seluruh Indonesia yang memiliki talenta di bidang IT, untuk kuliah gratis, dan beberapa yang memenuhi syarat juga kami beri kesempatan kerja serta gaji tiap bulan. Kami berharap beasiswa ini dapat membantu mereka dalam mengejar pendidikan tinggi sesuai dengan minat dan potensi yang mereka miliki,” kata Halim saat rangkaian acara Beasiswa SEMESTA Batch 5 secara virtual melalui Zoom dan Youtube, Kamis (13/07), dihadiri ribuan pendaftar Beasiswa SEMESTA.

Beasiswa Semesta juga telah diluncurkan bersama berbagai Menteri & Pejabat Tinggi Negara, serta diseleksi secara ketat. Tercatat lebih dari 7000 siswa dari berbagai pulau di Indonesia, seperti Jawa, Kalimantan, Sumatera, dan Sulawesi, mendaftar untuk mengikuti beasiswa ini. Seleksi terdiri atas tahap administrasi, Ujian Computer Based Test, Hackaton (membuat aplikasi / melakukan aktivitas pemrograman dalam satu hari), dan wawancara.

Beasiswa SEMESTA memfokuskan pada empat bidang terkait IT, yaitu programmer, design, develops, dan support. Mereka nantinya akan berkuliah di perguruan tinggi yang telah bekerjasama dengan SEVIMA seperti BINUS University, Universitas Siber Asia, Universitas Insan Cita Indonesia, dan masih banyak lagi.

“Dari proses itulah didapatkan 25 anak terbaik yang memperoleh beasiswa. Selamat pada para putra-putri terbaik bangsa yang menjadi pemenang, dan jangan khawatir bagi yang belum beruntung, SEVIMA selalu terbuka untuk membantu proses belajar mahasiswa di seluruh Indonesia dengan layanan dan komunitas kami yang tersebar di ribuan kampus se-Indonesia!,” lanjut Halim.
