Peran POGI Diharapkan Turunkan Angka Kematian Ibu dan Anak, Serta Stunting di Sumut

JELAJAHNEWS.ID – Gubernur Sumatera Utara (Sumut) Edy Rahmayadi berharap peran Perkumpulan Obstetri dan Ginekologi Indonesia (POGI) dapat membantu pemerintah mengatasi masalah kesehatan. Terutama dalam upaya penurunan angka kematian ibu dan anak, serta stunting yang ada di Sumut.

Hal ini disampaikan Gubernur Edy Rahmayadi, saat menghadiri pelantikan pengurus POGI cabang Sumut periode 2022/2025 yang berlangsung di Aula Raja Inal Siregar, Kantor Gubernur Sumut Jalan Diponegoro Nomor 30 Medan, Minggu (21/5).

“Selamat menjalankan tugas pada pengurus POGI Sumut yang dilantik. Saya berharap POGI Sumut dapat membantu pemerintah dalam mengentaskan permasalahan kematian ibu dan anak, serta stunting yang masih tinggi di Sumut,” ucap Edy Rahmayadi.

Hadir di antaranya, Ketua Umum PP POGI Yudi Mulyana Hidayat, Ketua POGI Sumut Johny Marpaung, Ketua IDI Wilayah Sumut Ramlan Sitompul, Kepala BKKBN Sumut Muhammad Irzal, OPD serta seluruh anggota POGI Sumut.

Dijelaskan Edy Rahmayadi, permasalahan lainnya saat ini di beberapa Rumah Sakit Umum (RSU) Kabupaten/kota juga kekurangan dokter spesialis obgyn. “Ini bukan karena tidak adanya dokter, namun mereka tidak mau bertugas dipelosok,” katanya.

Selain itu, pemerintah juga menghadapi permasalahan dengan begitu mahalnya biaya kesehatan dibeberapa RS. Di antaranya biaya khitan, masyarakat harus mengeluarkan biaya sebesar Rp10 juta dan untuk operasi bibir sumbing harus menelan biaya sebesar Rp150 juta.

“Saya sadari begitu peliknya untuk menyelesaikan masalah kesehatan untuk masyarakat ini. Jadi saya berharap kedepan ada kerjasama dengan POGI agar masalah ini dapat teratasi,” katanya.

Ketua Umum PP POGI Yudi Mulyana Hidayat kesempatan itu mengatakan masalah angka kematian ibu dan anak, serta stunting ini merupakan tanggung jawab yang sangat besar. Ini membuktikan pelayanan kesehatan yang masih kurang baik.

“Ini perlu kerja sama dengan POGI, pemerintah, tenaga pendidikan dan lainnya dalam menurunkan angka ini. Permasalahannya adalah bagaimana para dokter ini mau kerja di daerah dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat,” katanya.

Menurut Yudi, konteks penurunan angka kematian ibu dan anak juga stunting adalah bagaimana merubah sistem masyarakat itu dapat sehat.

Sementara itu Ketua POGI Sumut Johny Marpaung menyampaikan, kekurangan dokter spesialis obgyn di Kabupaten/kota ini terjadi karena banyaknya yang melakukan pensiun dini dilakukan oleh para dokter. “Tidak lain alasan dokter obgyn melakukan itu, terkait kesejahteraan yang diterima bertugas di daerah dan mereka tidak betah,” katanya.

Di antaranya adalah di RSU tipe B Kota Pematangsiantar, yang saat ini hanya memiliki 2 SpOG yang bertugas di RS tersebut. “Ini dapat di komunikasikan lagi lebih baik, dengan segala diskusi bersama agar permasalahan ini dapat diselesaikan,” katanya.

Pengurus POGI Cabang Sumut periode 2022/2025 yang dilantik pada kesempatan itu yakni, Ketua POGI Sumut Johny Marpaung, Sekretaris Sarah Dina, dan Bendahara Melvin Barus.(**)
